This is my first trip to Pulau Untung Jawa. Once upon a time… (ups)
On shiny Sunday, I was travelling alone (crazy..!) to thousand islands. My plan before was going to Pulau Untung Jawa and Pulau Tidung. But, plan just plan, didn’t work out as my expects. I only could visit Untung Jawa Island a.k.a Pulau Untung Jawa.
Well, I was backpacking alone with public transportations. Here’s the journey began from my home to Untung Jawa Island through Tanjung Pasir port:
I went to Pintu Air, Tangerang by “angkot 02″. Actually, i didn’t know where exactly Pintu air is. Till the driver told me that i had to go down there and continued the trip with another public tranportation (called: elf). Then.. I asked again to the elf’s driver how to reach Tanjung Pasir Beach, and the driver told me that he would let me know where we would stopped. Ok… so i just enjoyed the trip…
On the way to Tanjung Pasir
That was the picture I got from my way to Tanjung Pasir Port. I couldn’t believe.. there were many people washing clothes in that river.. Nowadays! Crazy.. coz the water not clean enough.
Anyway back to my journey.. I still had to continue one more public transportation: angkot. Lucky me, just one more angkot.
Arrived in Tanjung Pasir port, I didn’t know what to do. Really..! Well, i remembered there were port guardians asked me money to enter that port and I told them i just wanted to across the sea to Pulau Untung Jawa (i didn’t know they asked me money for the ticket to the trip..! hehe) Finally they let me in without paid anything…!
Arrived at the “kapal motor” (i dont know how it called in English, neither ship or boat) , i just sitting and smiling to the ship’s driver and other passangers. Well, i couldn’t believe i just doing nothing even no asking how or where to pay the tickets. (I didn’t pay for the sailing ticket at that time) hahaha..
Less than 30 minutes, i arrived in Pulau Untung Jawa port. well actually a bit disappointed coz sooooo many trashes there. Bad…
Though that journey.. I have learnt many things.. To keep nature.. People please keep clean anywhere you are. Throw away the trash in the garbage can..!
Finally.. my journey this time… I am seeing the world with the different side. I realize that the world is huge, and I can not be selfish, sometimes.
Remember a quote from Lao Tzu that have deep meaning:
“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” – Lao Tzu
Interpreted yourself..!
Cheers..
